Griffin has more than 20 years of golf teaching experience. But Fred Griffin is not the only golf instructor at Grand Cypress Academy of Golf to be so honored. The Grand Cypress Academy of Golf uses state of the art computer golf instruction as well as one-on-one instruction with the academy’s award-winning golf teachers in one to three day programs. The golf courses at the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf were designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, who also put his golf architecture skills to create three practice holes, a par 3, par 4 and a par 5.
The Grand Cypress Academy of Golf offers several different golf school formats. These include: the Fred Griffin Players School; the Grand Cypress Players School; and the Women’s Three Day and Two Day Golf Schools.
The Fred Griffin Players School limits enrollment to 6 students per session and is open to golfers who carry a handicap of 28 or less. The student-teacher ratio is 3:1. Each session provides 16.5 hours of comprehensive training over 3 days. The program includes improving your short game not only in terms of chipping, putting and bunker work, but also on course management to improve your strategy to lower your golf score.
Golf videos and computer programs are also used to improve and strengthen your game.
Video swing analysis is presented by utilizing ModelGolf patented Model overlay teaching system which uses specific corrective drills.

This school has a three day program which includes 3 half days of comprehensive instruction from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. Enrollment is limited to 8 students per session with two instructors making a 4:1 student to teacher ratio.
The golf school uses video swing analysis. Short game skills are also developed in the areas of putting, pitch and run chipping, and bunker play. Golf specific stretching and warm up exercises are also part of the curriculum.
Students are given on course instruction on the Academys practice holes (par 3, par 4 and par 5).
Students can spend the afternoon playing on the Jack Nicklaus designed Grand Cypress golf courses. Fees for instruction at the Womens Golf School include two rounds of golf and three nights accommodation at the Villas of Grand Cypress or the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

- Just take I-75 north to I-4 east towards Orlando.
- Take exit #68 (Lake Buena Vista) and turn left on State Rte 535 North,
- At the third traffic light turn left onto County Rte 535 North.
- Drive 1 mile North (past entrance of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress) and follow signs to The Villas of Grand Cypress. The entrance is on the right.
